POWERtalk is a worldwide training organization specializing in speaking and leadership skills. Our beginning was in California in 1938 and now covers many countries around the world. Our current Administrative International headquarters are in New Zealand.
Opportunities exist for everyone to develop skills in all aspects of communication and leadership. These skills are built on confidence, clarity or thought and expression, and the ability to listen. These skills are needed in our everyday lives whether it is a dinner conversation, an opinion at the village council meeting, or delivering a report to your work division, or speaking at a reception. POWERtalk provides plenty of practice to prefect these skills.
CLUB: You are a member of an POWERtalk Club. This is the first level of POWERtalk. The Club is your key to growth in POWERtalk. At Club meetings, you learn by doing and observing, as well as evaluating. This is where your confidence is built in speaking and leading.
COUNCIL: The next level up from Club. The level
meets four times a year. Council includes a number of clubs within a
geographic area nearest your own Club. Presentations are a bit
longer than Club level, and allows greater fluency and knowledge in
building you POWERtalk abilities and leadership. REGION: This level is a step above Council. The Region administers the Councils and Clubs. The Heart of America Region holds an Annual Conference (June). There are 26 clubs in the Region and includes eight states. This level allows advances participation in many areas.
INTERNATIONAL: This is the highest level of POWERtalk. This level is Administrative, but does hold a bi-annual Convention. Current Headquarters are in New Zealand. International level covers many areas of the world, including Greece, Iceland, Europe, Great Britain, North America, S. Africa, Japan and a few other Asian countries. International level requires excellence enhancement.
